Working alongside his brothers, La Kika participated in numerous assassinations and vicious attacks by the Medellín cartel. Though his brother Tyson was the main head of the criminal groups they managed, Dandeny had his share of power and respect in el bajo mundo.

The Finca Los Cocos Massacre
Perhaps one of the most known attacks perpetrated by the groups headed by the Castilla enforcers was the murders on the finca Los Cocos, where presumably some Cali capos would attend a football match.
More than 19 people were brutally murdered and wounded, including innocents. It is believed more than 40 sicarios were involved in this crime. The military wing of Tyson was one of the leading arrangers of attacks and bombings in Cali and nearby provinces like this one.
Castilla enforcers — reference to the neighborhood La Kika and his brothers were from, controlling gangs there but in other sectors as well.
The Avianca Bombing Conviction
La Kika was convicted of being one of those responsible for the Avianca plane bombing in 1989. However, this is also a highly controversial and disputed topic by many, from both authorities and other journalist investigators.
